Becoming a Freemason means you’ll be joining about 2,000 + members throughout Ghana and Africa, as well as Districts overseas.
Membership is open to people from all backgrounds and the organisation’s aim is to empower members to be the best they can be – it’s about building character, supporting members as individuals and helping them make a positive contribution to society.
We have more than 27 Lodges, with any one over the age of 20 + are welcome to join, Women's and Youth are invited to join Freemasonry
irrespective of their race or religion. Students are also able to join us.
Freemasonry in Ghana has continued to stand as a symbol of brotherhood, unity, discipline, and charity for many years. As a respected organization, Freemasonry brings together men of good character who are committed to moral values, peace, truth, and service to humanity.
In Ghana, Freemasonry has contributed positively to society through charitable works, educational support, leadership development, and community service. Freemasons believe in helping the needy, promoting harmony among people, and encouraging members to become responsible citizens who contribute to national development.

The youth also play an important role in the future of Freemasonry in Ghana. Young members are guided with wisdom, discipline, leadership, and moral teachings that help prepare them for a brighter future. Freemasonry believes that building strong and responsible young people will help strengthen families, communities, and the nation as a whole.
Women also play an important and valuable role in Freemasonry in Ghana. Through dedication, wisdom, discipline, and leadership, women continue to contribute positively to the growth of the organization and the development of society.
Today, Freemasonry in Ghana remains a respected institution that promotes peace, charity, friendship, and personal growth while working toward a better society for all.

The Future of the Fraternity
Freemasonry youth lodges are organizations that help young people grow into responsible, disciplined, and respected members of society. These youth groups are inspired by the values of Freemasonry such as brotherhood, honesty, charity, leadership, education, and moral living. They create a positive environment where young men and women can learn good character, teamwork, respect, and service to humanity.
Young people involved in Freemasonry are often encouraged to:
- Respect God and humanity
- Develop leadership skills
- Help the needy and support charity work
- Practice honesty, integrity, and self-discipline
- Build strong friendships and unity
- Stay away from violence, drugs, and bad influences
- Promote peace and community development
Freemasonry youth lodges also organize educational programs, mentorship activities, community service, social gatherings, and leadership training to prepare the younger generation for a better future. Members are taught to become role models in their families, schools, workplaces, and communities.
The purpose of a Freemasonry youth lodge is not only to create future leaders but also to build men and women of good morals, wisdom, and compassion who can positively impact society.
